Kuala Lumpur City Tour Itinerary
Although tourist has the flexibility to start the tour according to their preference I strongly suggested we start early for better tour experience.
- Best Time to Start: 0800am/0900am
- Tour Duration: 5 hours to 8 hours depending number of attraction tourist wanted to visit.
Why should we start early?
1. Weather – If we start late the weather become too harsh in afternoon. High possibility rain in late afternoon.
2. Rush Hours – Traffic can be very congested during evening rush hour.
List of Recommendation Attraction
List of activity below I highly recommended during Kuala Lumpur city tour because it has the historical and cultural value that made Malaysia unique than other Asia country.
PETRONAS Twin Towers
Petronas stands for Petroliam Nasional Berhad, Malaysia National oil company established in 1974. The twin building was built formally on horse racing track. Standing at 472 meters Petronas Twin Building was the tallest building in the world from 1998 till 2004 and remain as tallest twin building until today. Besides for photo stop tourist also can visiting the highest sky bridge in the world and level 86 observation deck. Due to limited ticket availability, tourist required to book the ticket online a few weeks in advance using this link https://www.petronastwintowers.com.my/tickets
Batu Caves

Situated about 13km or 25 minutes driving from the city. Batu Caves is one of the highlights in our Kuala Lumpur city tour itinerary. The 400 million years old Limestone hills consist 18 caves. The caves initially used by Temuan tribe indigenous people as a shelter. In 1891, Mr. K. Thamboosamy Pillay built the first Hindu temple in Batu Caves, today Batu Caves the only temple in Malaysia that accommodate all Hindu deities in Malaysia.
National Palace

Malaysia practiced the constitutional monarchy system. The position established in 1957 as a result of the Reid Commission’s Declaration enacting the Federal Constitution. His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong was elected by the Conference of Rulers pursuant to the methods and means prescribed in the Third Schedule of the Federal Constitution and the Regulations of the Rulers of the Rulers. The King functioning as the head of the country, the supreme commander of Police, Army, Navy and Air Force.
Independent Square/Dataran Merdeka
We continue our Kuala Lumpur city tour to the independent square. On 31st August 1957 morning, the last Union Jack flag in Malaya lowered in Dataran Merdeka. British built a beautiful building when they colonized Malaysia. Besides well-preserved heritage building influenced by Moorish and Mughal design. The 100-meter flagpole is holding world record as the tallest flagpole in the world for 20 years. The highest flagpole in the world record now stands at 170 meters situated in Jeddah Saudi Arabia.
Jamek Mosque
Built in 1909, Masjid Jamek is one of the oldest Masjid in Kuala Lumpur. Arthur Benison Hubback designed the building with Moorish and Mughal Architectural style. Masjid Jamek located at the confluence of two rivers known as the Klang River and the Gombak River. In Mughal style, water is a significant feature of landscape art and architecture that is symbolic of the river in heaven. The capacity about 1000 worshipers. Its served as National Masjid before the current National Masjid completed in 1965.
Kampung Baru
Your Kuala Lumpur city tour is not complete if you are not visiting Kampung Baru. Established in January 1900, the majority of Malay people who inhabited the riverbank of Klang and Gombak River need to relocate due increasing mining activities in the surrounding area. Another reason for giving to give an opportunity to Malay people take a chance in Kuala Lumpur development and progress. Today Kampung Baru has a reputation as the oldest Malay settlement in Kuala Lumpur. Besides traditional house made from wooden, Kampung Baru also the best place to try Malay traditional food known as Nasi Lemak and Nasi Campur.
